The ethics of playing poker on Christmas Eve
Merry Christmas! It was a busy Christmas Eve so it was good to unwind today. I left the pub last night to go to a neighbour's party, when I got there it had inexplicably moved to another house (not mine thankfully). The split was quite obvious too - the ladies and young children were in the lounge singing or waiting on others whilst in the back the chaps were enjoying the beers and doind very little to help out.
A few jibes about my profession, and other neighbour's 'preferences' or gullibility and drinking game number one began. This involved blowing cards off a bottle. Then poker, where we were told on several occasions it was like 'trying to play with Zippy and Bungle', through until about 1am when we were reminded there were young kids trying to get to sleep before Santa arrived. I earlier mentioned to one of the nippers to ask Santa to give me his thoughts on the state of my roof and the displaced slates. No word yet...

hello Mark I previously posted a comment but was n't sure if you saw it or understood. Its Lee from Woolies days hence posting my name backwards. Just to comment on something you mentioned in an earlier blog about Tameside Councils money saving skills. I work for tmbc in an outpost and due to the fact we have old crap computers mine has to be left on well after I have exited the building so other people have access to the server-so don't believe all you read as my first manager told me council policy is "penny rich and pound poor" and unfortunately it is usually the case. Sorry to moan I would like to get in touch with you Maqueth also need to contact Mike who I have n't spoken to for years which is terrible. Hopefully see/speak to you soon.
Markstock co-founder and I do believe I gave the event its name which must be worth an invite to the 2007 event !
